They are designed specifically to show work related mastery at different levels of competency, across both soft and hard skills.

Soft skills are becoming increasingly important in today’s workplaces. We want leaders who are adept in communicating, problem solving, managing themselves and their staff, and who apply strategic and critical thinking; these skills can lead your business to success. A high functioning leader cannot succeed without a team that can collaborate effectively, communicate with team members in an appropriate manner and be culturally sensitive.

Hard skills cover many of the technical skills important in today’s workplaces such as digital literacy, marketing, customer service and risk management.

The benefit of micro-credentials being offered to your workforce are:

  • Your employees can demonstrate their abilities in a concrete way, motivating improvement and a feeling of recognition.
  • Identify the level of capability in a particular skill.
  • The business can more easily identify skills gaps.
  • The business can more easily identify skilled individuals for future promotion.

Asheley Jones has extensive experience advising on micro-credentials, including developing an experiential-based, cross-discipline micro-credential CPD model for the Australian Council of Professions and was instrumental in overseeing the strategic implementation of the framework that underpins DeakinCo.’s micro-credentials (part of Deakin University). Asheley is also the Lead Professional Practice Credential Assessor for Deakin University.

Zena Consulting can assist your business in determining appropriate micro-credentials for staff from the C-Suite leadership level, team leaders and other staff members. Zena Consulting will lead you through the process, providing the best possible experience and uplifting the functioning of your business. Your success is our success.
